Thought I needed more "stuff" than I did. Lange talked me down and installed an American Standard A/C and I couldn't be happier. No nonsense talk and no nonsense work.
Worst company to work with. I had to call several times to just get a call let alone to come out. The tech that came out talked down to me several times. I had a friend over and they said they needed to be reported to BBB so I'm writing a review. I had to use them because of my home warranty. They did not write everything that was wrong with the AC unit on the report so now if something else happens I have another deductible. They also charge you a credit card processing fee. The tech said "I'm not paying it, you have to!" Horrible customer service, I would say customer service was not even in their vocabulary. No idea how this company is still in business. I called my home warranty and complained to drop this company.
Ultimately we went with a State brand water heater, 50 gallon tank with 50,000 BTU burner in it for faster recovery. It was working like a champ, and then we noticed a bulge in the side of it and some insulation foam being squeezed out, 3 months after it was replaced. Lange's sent two guys out the morning after to assess the situation, and without much input from me, they decided to swap it out under warranty. They had even brought a replacement with them, which I didn't expect. So everything is back up and running again with a new water heater, no hassle, no extra expenses for the labor. I'd say that's pretty great service! Especially in this line of work where you read about other companies being awful to deal with.
I had a fabulous experience with this Company when I moved to my home in Belle Plaine, I was so happy with the service that I had them do $1,700 worth of work in my basement bathroom, but as a returning customer, today I am highly disappointed as I have a clog in my basement laundry sink and called Jim last week to schedule and appointment. I never heard back, I even stopped in to talk to him just to hear that "Me and 100 other people have called him" so with that, I discontinue service with this Company, they get my Bad rating and if anyone asks me about recommending a Plumber in the are I will NOT be advising that they call this guy. What started out good turned highly un-professional in a hurry.
Hired them to do two jobs. Fix a pop up plug in one sink and remount a bowl top sink that was leaking in another bathroom. They were polite and on time. Jobs went well and were very affordable. The following day the pop up plug job fell apart when my kid touched it. The part they installed was used and faulty. I spoke to them in person. I was a bit of a jerk in there defense as I was upset they installed a used part. They said they would order a NEW part this time and reach back out to me. They requested my portion of the paper as they misplaced theirs, so they had my contact info. They never reached back out to me, they never finished the job.
Great company to work with. They replaced a failed water heater in our home we had just bought that failed a week after moving in. They were willing to work with us and whatever brand of water heater we chose, and told us what we could and couldn't have because of how everything was plumbed and vented.
